Sonya Schneider is a Pacific Northwest poet and playwright with an MFA in Poetry from Pacific University and a degree from Stanford. A Pushcart Prize nominee, she was recognized as a finalist for the Atlanta Review International Prize, New Letters Patricia Cleary Miller Award, and Raleigh Review’s Laux & Millar Prize. Her poems appear in The Missouri Review, Rattle, Salamander, The Chicago Quarterly Review, and other journals.

She loves spending time with her family, growing seeds in the garden and teaching creative writing to young people.
